There are multiple approaches to how one should be living in prosperity, but individuality is not an enchanting rephrase of one's apprehension. The reality is far from how one could determine the aspect of living and how others around the world live, with or without our awareness.
Many aspects of who we are, what we want, and what could help us be who we are remain unexplored. All we try to do is search in scripts written before us or implanted thoughts by our surroundings—be it friends, family, or whosoever has influenced our thinking.
Why? Why not? Whenever we have steps to take, when you feel it's time to take a break to rethink where you're headed, why not do it? This simple question—"why not?"—has the power to break down the barriers we've built around our possibilities.
Sometimes we are very rational, questioning our own existence. The path we took shouldn't lead us to one end goal only; rather, it must be taken as it opens up to more aspects of life. We always start with less adequate knowledge about what we're pursuing, and when we pursue a path that helps us figure out what's next, we shouldn't be forced to stay on the same path we started with. Those are psychological boundaries we set up for ourselves.
There's nothing wrong with trying things out, nothing wrong with trying to work around your aspirations. Defining the path is important, but the goal must be variable. The gist of the hereafter is not only fulfillment, but it's also more about exposure to uncertainty.
Are we still going to apprehend it, to be the tomorrow (which could be new or could be otherwise)? Not being self-aware about what life has to offer, compared to being in a loop or constant confinement of unpredictable reality, limits our potential for growth and discovery.
Asking questions, exploring what may not sound relevant, exposing yourself to the unknown, being vulnerable—these are not scary things. And feeling safe—is it safe at all? Why not turn your universe upside down to find what would best fit? Constantly asking where you're headed, whether it's the right thing to do or not, doesn't make you a loser. It's not about self-doubt; it's beyond apprehensions of what else one could be.
The power of "why not" lies in its ability to challenge our assumptions, break down our limitations, and open us up to possibilities we never considered. When we ask "why not," we're not just questioning the status quo—we're questioning our own self-imposed boundaries.
This journey of questioning and exploration is not about finding definitive answers. It's about discovering new questions, new possibilities, and new ways of being. It's about recognizing that the person you are today is not the person you have to be tomorrow.
When we embrace the power of "why not," we give ourselves permission to choose differently, to think differently, and to live differently. We recognize that our current circumstances are not our destiny—they're just our starting point.
The power of "why not" is not about being rebellious or contrarian. It's about being authentic, about recognizing that you have the power to question, to choose, and to change. It's about understanding that the boundaries you face are often self-imposed, and that you have the power to transcend them.
So the next time you find yourself asking "why?" consider asking "why not?" instead. You might be surprised by the possibilities that open up when you give yourself permission to explore them.
The question is: what are you going to ask "why not" about today?
